STRAIGHTEN TEETH WITH INVISALIGN® IN SAN ANTONIO
Have you ever wished that you could snap your fingers and straighten your teeth? Well, Dr. Soileau can’t do that, but she can offer you an orthodontic treatment that does seem to work like magic. Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners to move teeth into proper alignment. Unlike braces made of metal brackets and wires that are quite obvious, Invisalign aligners are all practically invisible. With Invisalign, you’ll have a beautifully straight smile without the appearance, discomfort, or restrictions of traditional braces.
Advantages of Invisalign® Clear Braces
Invisalign braces come with some built-in advantages over metal braces. First, of course, is the fact that Invisalign is made of clear, BPA-free plastic. The aligners are smooth and comfortable, so you’ll never have to contend with irritated gum tissue or sores inside your cheeks—two common troubles with metal brackets and wires.
In addition, Invisalign clear braces are removable. This is a definite advantage whenever you want to eat or brush your teeth. All you have to do is take out your aligners and enjoy all the foods you love. Wearing traditional braces means eliminating foods that are sticky and hard because these can break brackets or dislodge wires. And because your braces won’t be in the way when you want to brush and floss, you’ll be able to keep your teeth cleaner during your orthodontic treatment. This way, you’ll better be able to avoid cavities and gum disease.
The Invisalign® Process
As a certified Diamond Invisalign provider, Dr. Soileau works closely with the technicians at Invisalign to design aligners that will perfect your smile. A comprehensive collection of x-rays, photos, and impressions guide the development of your personalized treatment plan. This plan is the blueprint that the lab uses to create a virtual representation of how your teeth will gradually move. You and Dr. Soileau can view this together so you’ll both know exactly how your treatment will progress.
Invisalign fabricates your customized clear braces and ships them to San Antonio cosmetic dentist Dr. Soileau who will dispense them to you at progress checks every four to six weeks.
In between these visits, you’ll wear each pair of aligners for a week, throw them away and move on to the next pair. Although you can remove aligners to eat, brush and floss, Dr. Soileau will ask you to wear them for the remainder of the day. This way, you’ll be able to complete your orthodontic treatment on time. While each case is different, most Invisalign wears complete their orthodontic care in two years or less.
